Prostheses

Some of my works are prostheses, objects that when worn combine with the body. They do not necessarily aim to “improve” the body, nor to replace lost function, as other prostheses might. Instead, they aim to be experiments concerned with the results of self actuated bodily growth and extension blurring the line between living and nonliving matter.

Media: Balsa wood, polystyrene foam, cyanoacrylate glue, 9mm diameter wooden dowel, gator board, blue pen, T-Rex Tape, metal tube, wire. 

Arm Prosthetic v5, 2021, 32”x5”x5”, 

Media: high density foam, spiked rubber ball, duralar, cyanoacrylate glue, aluminum tape, twine.
